Facebook Film Festival: ONECLOUDFEST
I know nothing about this other than what came through this morning from Withoutabox. It sounds intriguing though, a film festival operating entirely on Facebook. Incidentally, for those of you who are not aware of Withoutabox you should definitely check it out. It is an online Film Festival information and entry service and its free to join. Any of you who plan to get your films out on the circuit will find it invaluable.

ONECLOUDFESTOnline via FacebookJune 9, 2011 to February 29, 2012 In the Spotlight this week isĀ ONECLOUDFEST, a daring and unique new film festival taking place entirely on Facebook. The Festival seeks to connect independent artists and filmmakers with viewers everywhere by tapping into the most popular social network in the world in an effort to bring deserving works to light. ONECLOUDFEST utilizes a unique competitive structure which complements the Festival’s exhibition platform. The first phase of the competition, the Semi-Finals, is broken into three parts: Spring (March-May), Summer (June-August), and Fall, (September-November). Each round will culminate in the selection of an Audience Award winner in each category selected by the number of Facebook “likes” received. These winners go on to compete against one another in the second phase of the competition, the Winter Finals (December-February), vying for the top honor. |
